It’s been a while since we last heard from either Ironhauspro or Imperfecz Realms, and with good reason, as the pair have been feverishly working on an all-new wave of original keshi that will finally be making their debut soon… The Infestors! Kicking things off “Set A”, consisting of the Ironhaus-sculpted Venturo and Kraagh, the battling insectoids stand at around 2″ each, coming cast by Imperfecz in an “infectious” yellow rubber with brown rub. Coming packed with a single Build-A-Figure piece in a wide variety of finishes (more of which we’re guessing will follow in future releases!), the set will be invading the Imperfecz Realms store on Friday, July 4th for $30 plus shipping…

With the first wave of Scary Larrys finally making their way into collectors homes (sorry for the wait guys!), we can now reveal that NolanJP‘s second movie themed GPK-style figure “Iceclops” will be heading into production very soon! Paying tribute to Ray Harryhausen’s iconic beast in 1958′s The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, the ingenious mash-up of monster and doll stands at around the same height as Larry at 2.5″, coming complete with, in true GPK style, an icecream cone horn and mace. Due to be cast up by Tru:Tek over at the Disart ToyLabs, expect a similar array of colour choices as Larry (including the standard 4 Cheap Toy tones!) as well as an all-new “multi-region” VHS box-style packaging. Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks…

Having revealed both the SPIRAL ZONE Monoseed II (Rimfire) and Sophia III Blaster Master keshi over the past couple of weeks, we’re very happy to announce that both will be touching down in producer Eric Nilla’s store alongside a whole host of other custom keshi this Saturday, July 5th! Here’s a quick rundown of what to expect on the drop…

SPIRAL ZONE Monoseed II (Rimfire)- Hoping to right one of the few wrongs of the original keshi series, Eric Nilla has teamed up with Sanjeev over at Brown Noize Productions to produce one of the only Spiral Zone vehicles not to make it into keshi, the incredible Rimfire! Digitally sculpted at BNP, the wonderfully detailed piece features a 5-part interlocking design, coming complete with driver and standing officer. Cast up by Nilla in a flesh tone, keshi-style rubber, pricing and edition size on these are still to be confirmed.

Sophia III Blaster Master- Taken from the hard-as-nails NES game of the same name, Sophia III is yet another jaw-dropping collaboration between Nilla and BNP. Featuring a whopping total of 8 interlocking parts and 6 points of articulation, this will also be available in a flesh-toned rubber. Pricing and edition size have also still not been confirmed.

UoV II: Chaos Dimension- Featuring both Venus Maneater and Satyrant from the recent Universe of Violence reboot, the pair of keshi-scaled figures have been designed and sculpted by Justin “MetalMonkey” Gaze. Cast up in a limited store exclusive flesh for this release, expect the pair to come in at around $10-$15 each.

Fisto and Jitsu MOTU keshi customs- Having already recast a number of the original super-rare MOTU keshi to instant sell-out success, Eric returns with 2 new additions for the collection, Fisto and Jitsu! Meticulously recreated in flesh rubber (complete with original, untouched weapon sprues!), expect the pair to come in at around $15 a piece.

Other- Whilst not pictured, Eric has mentioned that a number of other figures will also be touching down in-store at the same time, including a fresh batch of Nama Niku’s Chopper Manzilla, plus Rampage Toys’ Nekos Fortress customs. Keep an eye on Eric’s Instagram feed right here for an exact drop time later on today…

IMG_3813

“Despair is a demon from the 10th Circle of Hell; the level where people who make bad cinematic adaptations of classic toy properties are flayed for eternity. Not your average demon, Despair suffers from severe anxiety disorder and crippling depression. Satan himself even banished Despair from Hell for being a major bummer…

Cast out upon the earth in a fiery geyser of lava and tears, Despair landed in the parking lot of a comedy club that was hosting a weekly open mic night.  Despair put his name on the sign-up sheet, got on stage, and told his story. Since then, he has been punishing himself, night after night, on comedy stages of varying quality throughout the Midwest. He dances and lashes himself for audiences with hopes of selling t-shirts and CDs to drunk people who will not wear or listen to them.”

To celebrate the recent release of his album “Can We Afford This Much Despair?” on Stand Up! Records, comedian and avid toy collector Adam Quesnell has teamed up with illustrator Terence Brown II, October Toys, and our very own Tru:Tek of the Disart Toylabs to bring you the 3″ rubber toy of your saddest nightmares… Behold, DESPAIR! Standing at around 3″ of 100% UV resistant rubber, the super squishy figure was designed by Terrance and sculpted by the OT team, coming cast in a multitude of colors and finishes by Tru:Tek (M.U.S.C.L.E flesh pictured). Set to drop during Halloween at the end of next month, be sure to stay tuned for a 360 reveal, a full list of colorways, pricing and availability soon…

Gory Hole

gory banner newletter

On top of the huge selection of keshi, resin and sofubi we’ve mentioned above, Tru:Tek will also unveiling an all-new side project that’s been in the works for the past few months… the rather ominously titled Gory Hole! Brainchild of twisted alter-ego Deadman, the brand is set to play host to a bi-annual illustration based ‘zine featuring artists from across design, low brow, tattoos and toys, as well as companion prints, t-shirts, jewellery and other assorted merc. Whilst a display-only preview copy will be the only taster of the ‘zine ahead of it’s official debut in late November, a number of other items will be up for grabs to kick the brand off in style. Here’s a quick rundown of what will be on offer starting preview night…

tshirt promos

“Tarbman” and “Demon Quigley” Ltd Ed T-Shirts: As part of the regular Gory Hole release schedule, 2 different shirt designs will be offered up each month; one from owner Deadman and another from a featured ‘zine artist. Kicking things off, Deadman’s Simpsons/Return of the Living Dead mash-up “Tarbman” has been joined by a collaborative effort with illustrator Two-Dimes entitled “Demon Quigley”, paying homage to the classic “Horror Workout” VHS and its equally infamous mail order print ad. Limited to editions of just 20 pieces each in a NYCC exclusive black on white (a standard release is set for heather and a reversed black in Late November ’14), each shirt comes packed in a custom Gory Hole biohazard bag for just $25 each.

ooze and stretch ring promos

The Ooze and Stretch “Monster on Your Finger” Rings: Previously unveiled here a couple of weeks back, the hotly tipped “Monster on Your Finger” series will be debuting at NYCC with 2 different designs up for grabs! Based on infamous bootleg monster toys of the 70’s and 80’s, the rather aptly titled “Ooze” and “Stretch” have been directly inspired by the Cosmos’ Alien Ooze-It knock-off and the Japanese Stretch Monster bootleg. Produced in a patinated pewter courtesy of Baindots, the standard US size 10 rings have been limited to just 20 of each, coming packed in a drawstring bag with collector tag for $70 each. Worried the rings may be too big or too small? Well, as long as plans to release more sizes in the future – albeit in a different material – we will be offering the rings with 24″ silver plated chains for an extra $5 each…

Stay tuned for our regular – albeit slightly condensed – posts to return over the weekend (including one final exclusive reveal!), and be sure to stay glued for our extensive on-the-floor con coverage starting Thursday next week…

Iceclops: Originally revealed as a near-finished clay proto way back here in early July, NolanJP‘s second movie themed GPK-style figure, Iceclops, finally made his debut at NYCC this year! Paying tribute to Ray Harryhausen’s iconic beast from 1958′s The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, the ingenious mash-up of monster and doll stands at around the same height as the previously released Scary Larry at 2.5″, coming complete with – in true GPK style – an icecream cone horn and lumbering mace. As with the Leucotomy Ball, Iceclops was produced in 2 of Disart’s favourite colors; flesh and classic green GID, both coming cast up by Tru:Tek in a UV resistant, keshi-style rubber. Limited to just 10 of each, both editions have been packed in a GPK inspired foil pack for just $25 each… Calling all customisers! On top of the standard release, we will also be offering up a number of Icelops figures in a blank white resin- perfect for those looking to paint the little guy up! Packed in the same foil bags as the main release, these will set you back a slightly cheaper $20 each…

Scary Larry “GID”: Joining Iceclops, NolanJP’s original movie themed GPK-style figure, Scary Larry, returned for a special NYCC exclusive colorway! Bowing to the constant requests of fans, the wicked werewolf has finally been produced in a classic green GID rubber courtesy of Tru:Tek. As with Iceclops, Larry has been limited to an edition of just 10 figures, each coming packed in a premium foil bag for just $25 each…

The “Strange Kid” Screwball: Originally debuting right here way back in June, the Disart ToyLabs’ debut collaboration with Strange Kids Club – the Screwball – returned for an all-new NYCC exclusive release! Based on an illustration for SKC’s ongoing Circle Jerks sticker line, the stunning gross-out sculpt was originally undertaken by artist Jose David Cifuentes Ulloa as a fan project, quickly sparking the interest of SKC editor, Rondall Scott III, and ultimately leading to a full scale toy release. 3D printed, prototyped and produced courtesy of Tru:Tek over at Disart ToyLabs, the 3″ x 2″ figure has been cast in both GID and flesh-toned rubber, limited to 10 of each and priced at just $30. As with the Leucotomy Ball, a number of blind-bag one-offs will be available, so be sure to check stock early to avoid disappointment!

Pachi in Ya Packet “Cobraking”: Waiting in the wings since it’s first reveal way back in June, Disart ToyLabs’ collaboration with Monster Namahage, the “Cobraking” custom bootleg mini will finally see the light of day at NYCC as part of Disart ToyLabs’ “Pachi in Ya Pocket” series! Meticulously kit-bashed and re-sculpted from a mix of vintage mini figure designs, the 2″ piece has been cast in a MIMP-style UV resistant rubber. Available blind bagged in a selection of classic neon hues, these will set you back just $12 a piece…

Gory Hole

The Ooze and Stretch “Monster on Your Finger” Rings: Previously unveiled here a couple of weeks back, the hotly tipped “Monster on Your Finger” series debuted at NYCC with 2 different designs on offer! Well, along with plans to release more sizes in the future – albeit in a different material – we will be offering the rings with 24″ silver plated chains for an extra $5 each…

Originally teased a few weeks back, we can now bring you full release details of the debut figure from comedian and avid toy collector Adam Quesnell… Behold, DESPAIR! Created to celebrate the recent release of his album “Can We Afford This Much Despair?” on Stand Up! Records, Adam has teamed up with illustrator Terence Brown II, October Toys, and our very own Tru:Tek of the Disart Toylabs to bring you the 3″ rubber toy of your saddest nightmares… Standing at around 3″ of 100% UV resistant rubber, the super squishy figure was designed by Terrance and sculpted by the OT team, coming cast in a multitude of colors and finishes by Tru:Tek, including; Marbled Orange/Blue (ltd 20), Stealth (ltd 10), GiD (ltd 10), Neon Green (ltd 20), Neon Purple, (ltd 20), Neon Orange (ltd 20), Hot Pink (ltd 20), Flesh (ltd 20), Red (ltd 15) and Blue (ltd 20). Touching down in the newly opened FAQ Comedy store on Halloween night (10/31) at 6.66pm CDT, Despair will be up for grabs “open bag” style, coming packed with a download code for the album at just $25 each plus shipping… But that’s not all! On top of the many, many different colorways on offer from day one, Adam has also teamed up with Stand Up! to provide the label with their own exclusive releases. First up we’re promised a red/black marble with a super-limited clear blue to follow shortly after- expect more details on both of those soon!
